  1. Excellent write up, thanks! Best place to get Yuki's bracelet is on the website?
  2. I have the Breitling Chrono Superocean as well, same white dial, blue subs. Its absolutely one of your best bangs for your buck in the gen world, and as far as I know your only option because there is no rep.
  3. Peter thats a gen, to my knowledge it hasn't been repped, although I'd love to see it done to see how it would come out. I've got the gen of the white face blue subdial CSO - love it!
  4. I have the same one (love the color scheme) and just took it to my local AD to get a Pro-II for the summer (had it on black calf strap). Nice choice!! (I'd be curious if this one ever gets repped how it'd look)
  5. The gen bracelets are like silk - love it!
  6. I absolutly agree. I've worn both, and the rep is really really good. I owned the rep and have now bought a gen Chrono Superocean b/c I liked it better and it hasn't been repped yet. In the end, if you go for the gen, get the one you love, but if there is a great rep of the watch, consider one you can't get in the $300 price range.
  7. Very nicely done! That was one thing that bugged me on my bracelet and didn't think to try that.
  8. That date font looks pretty good in the first pic! A bit more disguised than the typical ETA font, no??
  9. Thanks for this post. Before I joined this forum in the summer I almost fell for myswissreplica.com which I see is thankfully down!
  10. Agreed, looks great! Merry Christmas!
  11. Great gift! I got the 2007 World Series DVD myself, which has some nice bonus tv footage of specific events which I don't believe the 2004 had (that is, unless you bought the multi-dvd set of the actual games)
  12. It is supposed to work, but I'm not sure anyone has had the chance to test it!
  13. What do you mean by "Reps of watches $2,000 are useless." How is it useless? If the rep of the $2,000 watch is much higher quality/accurate than a rep of a $10,000 then what good does that crappy rep of the expensive gen do you? Also, what do you mean by "For the price of a rep of a $2,000 you can buy the real thing." You can?? All of this does come down to, however, your personal taste, which there cannot be an argument over, b/c taste is taste. Therefore, if you like the not as high quality, not as accurate, rep of the $10,000 watch then I'm happy for you and its all fun. Get whatever watch you want, thats the point of different ones. However, regardless of its gen's value, some reps will simply get "watch of the year" based on their stand-alone quality and accuracy. Anyways, that said, based on the SOSF's build quality and accuracy to the gen, it def. deserves rep of the year, even if its "only" based on a $2,000 rep (which aint a cheap watch for most people, even those who love quality watches!)
  14. I agree. *Most* people don't buy watches approaching $2,000. Most people are just fine with a Fossil and it gets looks for them even.
  15. I just sat through the technology video. Man if thats really what goes into each watch...impressive!
  16. IMO, I'd go for the white! That first pic is great, I think it would look fantastic on a dark brown croco deployant!
  17. To my knowledge this hasn't been repped yet, but I'd love to see it done. So for now, here's my gen:
  18. The pearl looks a little nicer, at least on those pics. Although the pearl was always pretty decent on these.
  19. The Swiss SOSF is one of the best, if not the best, Breitling rep out there right now. Make sure he has it in stock before ordering because I heard supplies were short. I have the swiss SOSF, it has a workhorse ETA 2824-2 movement, great AR, beautiful dial (I got white). Oh yea and stay away (from my personal experiences and what others have said) from Tourneau, they're overpriced, even after haggling with them!
  20. Yea no kidding, list is $3540. Useds should be around $2000 (check TZ), and a good AD discount can get you around $2600 (before tax).
