Hi Guys and gals

Im new to this site but it looks pretty cool.

I have always been a Rolex man and have had reps and currently have a real sub, but I have always loved Breitling Navi's since I was a kid and I have now started flying so thought I should get one I have anyone got any ideas who does the best without being a genuine one I have a second hand one but really want a Navi.

I got a rep from a site and im am very picky and it is near as damn it but the date wheel is not tight as on the gen and the mech asian 7750 sounds a bit tinny anyone got any ideas who is best?

Cheers for you help and sorry if this has been posted before i couldnt find it and it wasnt as if i didnt look.

Cheers

P

The tri-compax Navitimer is a beautiful watch. The replica is very nice. As far as I know, there is only one maker of this.

Too bad you have to live with the Asian 7750. A swap to the more solid ETA 7750 would include transfer of the extra gears which moves the chronograph minutes counter from 12 to 3 o'clock. It is possible, I think, but I have never heard of anyone done it.

The datewheel would still be recessed, as the transfer gears is on top of the datewheel... If you want the "best Breitling chrono replica" I would sure go for an Evolution with ETA. :)

Essentially, there are two 'accurate' Navitimers: the 21,600vph one and the 28,800vph one. The 21k has a better slide rule but worse movement and the 28k one has a worse slide-rule and a better movement. Both of them suffer from a recessed date and neither has an accurate datewheel.

Here's my 28k version:

I love my Navitimer and want to put a 7753 in it too, but I read somewhere that the dimensions of the ETA 7753 is not suitable for the rep casing?

No problem getting a 7753 in, but you will need a gen dial which will need to be ground down, as its about 1mm to big. The gen dial is needed as the date window is in a slightly different position on the 7753.
