tech Posted December 3, 2007 Report Posted December 3, 2007 Tourby...my two choices are one with date and one without...very clean dial for me....with big, blued steel hands and nice, bright lume. I love the GO Senator Navigator....a lot people have problems with the "eating 4" date...not me....I love it. Just NO LOGOs..... I prefer oversized, onion crowns as I find them easier to turn. Case thickness is important as well to handle the biger crown.... Looking forward to whatever you build...just prefer 45mm or larger for the Pilot...otherwise, I'd get a Stowa Airman....
FxrAndy Posted December 3, 2007 Report Posted December 3, 2007 Tourby, i would prefer a dial like the steinhart with secs @ 6, it would have a nice clean look to it and very in keeping with the tradition of the observer uhr. I find the dail that you currently use a little too busy the way it looks now.
ryaku Posted December 3, 2007 Report Posted December 3, 2007 Tourby a 38mm watch like the one above wouldn't be bad. Or also a model with central seconds hand.
ravishingrick Posted December 3, 2007 Report Posted December 3, 2007 Looks very nice Tourby! But the hands look allot like the IWC 3717 hands...
tech Posted December 3, 2007 Report Posted December 3, 2007 what is with this design? i think the sub dial should be bigger and maybe 2 more numerals on dial (3 and 6)??? That looks pretty good tourby...I would like to see the numbers enlarged and moved off the stick markers a little more towards the center...too much black on that dial in proportion to the rest of the face... I'm still looking for a decent UNITAS based Flieger....I like the big second hand....not a fan of tiny seconds on BIG PILOT style watches....but that is just me.
FxrAndy Posted December 3, 2007 Report Posted December 3, 2007 what is with this design? i think the sub dial should be bigger and maybe 2 more numerals on dial (3 and 6)??? prefer seconds @ 6 but that is on the right lines 44mm? A real shame that modded unitas style with centre seconds are not available, could the chinese factorys mod the asian 6498 to make a center seconds like the chronoswiss movement?
trombone Posted December 3, 2007 Report Posted December 3, 2007 Tourby a 38mm watch like the one above wouldn't be bad. Or also a model with central seconds hand. hi tourby, i would buy that in a minute. thanks, trombone
