sydneysider Posted June 6, 2006 Report Posted June 6, 2006 hey guys, was just wondering, the 7753 allows for complications such as day dates and moonphase along with the chrono, why does no one rep these and make a good patek or so? it seems pretty logical to me? any thoughts?
yodaddynukka Posted June 6, 2006 Report Posted June 6, 2006 its most likely a supply and demand type thing. any rep with a 7753 will cost over 600USD. tho for me i would pay the price for a 7753 rep...
Chronus Posted June 6, 2006 Report Posted June 6, 2006 I have before... waiting on a PAM187 with ETA 7753
Bignasty Posted June 6, 2006 Report Posted June 6, 2006 ETA 7753 seems to be much harder to source and also more expensive than the 7750. I'm working on a source now. Jon

alligoat Posted June 7, 2006 Report Posted June 7, 2006 (edited) @ sydneysider, if you look at the ofrei movement link posted by ridnwind, you'll see that the v7751 is a day date moonphase movt and it's cheaper than a 7753. Kinda ironic. I have a watch w/ the 7751 in it- day, month, date(w/ a pointer going around the perimeter), 24 hr hand and chronos- a Jean Marcel Grand Complication that cost $1500 (slightly used) and I thought it was a good deal, But you're not going to find a rep w/ that movt in it- way too complicated. I'd love to find a better deal on the swiss 7753- it would make for a kick ass swap in my 6238 when the asian 7750 gives out! Edited June 7, 2006 by alligoat
mossanti Posted June 8, 2006 Report Posted June 8, 2006 WOw the movement cost a lot ...thats expensive with the otto frei..must be good eh ??
infinitime Posted June 8, 2006 Report Posted June 8, 2006 i've heard that julesborel.com is now stocking hte asian 7750 movement, although they don't advertise it on their website, they are apparently available if you call and request for them... must be a legal issue thing
