My First Vintage Strap Project

Not a big deal, but I took a TWB Tan Hydro (btw, a great strap), used 400 grit standpaper on the tops and a Dremel tool sanding bit on the sides and on areas around the stitiching. Applied mink oil first (three coats) and then have been using some really old leather conditioner I found in my mothers basement. It's called "Cadillac".

I also used 400 grit sandpaper on the screw-in buckle. Looks perfect.

What do you think???

Nice work.

I used Macadamia Nut Oil on this one, and the dremel, of course.

Oh, apologies if this is considered a hijack.

Thanks for the nice comments. I frankly think it looks great on the tux dial. I guess that's why there is chocolate and vanilla.

The stitching got a little roughed up with the sandpaper/dremel. I hope it holds up. I think it looks great.
