cib0rgman Posted June 11, 2006 Report Posted June 11, 2006 I have a Genunie 1680 Dial Thanks to Edge. I was wondering if leaving it under the sun for weeks will age the dial. thanks
cib0rgman Posted June 11, 2006 Author Report Posted June 11, 2006 I hear that too but I do not think I want to do that on a Genuine Dial
XRT Posted June 11, 2006 Report Posted June 11, 2006 leaving it under the sun for weeks... is a near 100% guarantee of bird-mods in my town. You're much safer with a bright UV light (indoors). It will take years in the sun to get the same aging on the lume as a week in direct artificial UV.
ubiquitous Posted June 11, 2006 Report Posted June 11, 2006 Or, you can just leave it be and let it age on it's own, gracefully
Jetsons Posted June 11, 2006 Report Posted June 11, 2006 (edited) cib, why age a gen dial? As I recall, that was one near perfect dial which is not an easy find. The bigger question is are you up to cropping the dial feet? I would have a very difficult time altering such a rare and near perfect dial. Gen movement in the works? Jet That is the dilema, I am looking for a 1575 Movement they are very difficult to find. I gues I will let the Dial alone and see if I can get my hands on a movement. Thanks
yodaddynukka Posted June 12, 2006 Report Posted June 12, 2006 i thought edge was sourcing the gen movements?
