Snap-on does not carry a 1.3mm bit. The is the next largest size is .0520" (.0512" is 1.3 mm). Is this bit ok to use?

Thanks.

Marty

It doesn't need to be a Snap-on bit. But a #55 Cobalt (0.0520") should be fine. Buy a few, as you'll probably break one or more. http://www.skygeek.com/012-55.html

Refer to the following pinned thread also, as my memory might be failing me... http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=15565

I think i used a 1.5mm cobalt bit last time. The holes look good but they are ever so slightly bigger than a gen. I REALLY love the look of lug holes so it doesnt bother me. I actually like the oversized holes. Plus my rolexes are mostly vintage, so a worn, larger diameter lug hole may not necessarily be incorrect :)

I would buy 3 or 4 bits if i was you. I guarantee you will break at least one of them and better to be safe than sorry. And for anyone not familiar with drill bits, I also found it amazing how fast a cobalt coated bit will cut through the stainless compared to a titanium or other type of coated bit. It really pays to get the right tool for the job, especially for precision work like this.
