Shipping a replica watch...

Forgive me for this newbie question, I am sending a replica I sold on another board to a member in the US, however I am not sure what I should write down where it states 'describe the item'. If I wrote down wristwatch, would the customs in the US get suspicious and open up the package? Alternatively, if I write a false description, won't they find out anyway because the item goes through a x-ray scanner?

I go for childs watch gift and state the value at around $50. stick a card in with it as well. It varies, everyone has their own way.

I keep the value under $40.. canada customs will ding you tax and duty on items over $40 i have found.

A few seller have sent reps to me as a returned repaired watch. No customs charge because I allready owned it.
