Could anyone possibly make an informed comment as to whether this Breitling ss. clasp

is gen or rep.

I got it along with my gen bce a few years back, and it came with no packaging.

Maybe someone out there has something to compare it to.

Many thanks.

I'm not sure but if it is a rep, I would buy one in a heartbeat.

Most deploymants I have seen are etched and look fairly poor.

My guess, and its only a guess, is its genuine.

Usually there will be an imprint of the stamping of the logo on fakes (especially bad fakes). .. I can say this looks very good however I am sure there are very good fakes as well.

So without touching it - I don't know - but Good luck :)

My Rep YG one is stamped clearly, like that, but in French... and it curves rather than "angles" like that...It came on an evo....earlier model...

When not a lot is known about something like this,

these little pieces of info start to build a better picture.

Btw , specialvat , Great avatar. ( a real bit of style.)

Looks Gen to me!

May be some interested members if you are looking to sell, including myself.

The best check on Breitling buckles or deployants is to look at the underside of the stamped wing logo.

Takes a little work to access this on the deployant.

If the metal on the backside shows a stamping depression on the other side it is a rep.

If you can't tell that the front was stamped by looking at the back, it is gen.

I have a gen and a rep buckle, and that is the most obvious way to tell the difference.

Cheers,

M
