brsmith1 Posted January 18, 2008 Report Posted January 18, 2008 As the subject says, just making sure I'm getting the correct crown for my TT MBK. It is the 7mm one correct? Anything els I need to be aware of? I have not held a genuine, was also wondering if I should get a genuine date wheel. Mine has not arrived yet, but I'm sure there are others who have recently picked up this watch. Thanks! Oh, and here is the link to a crown I was looking at...http://cgi.ebay.com/Genuine-Rolex-18k-Gold-Watch-Crown_W0QQitemZ140197303213QQihZ004QQcategoryZ10363QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZ ViewItem
yellomen Posted January 18, 2008 Report Posted January 18, 2008 Submariners have a 7mm crown, that's correct.... but you'll need a genuine or aftermarket matching tube for that as it won't screw on the replica tube.

dachshund Posted January 18, 2008 Report Posted January 18, 2008 Genuine date wheel will not fit an ETA movement, you have to use an overlay date wheel and glue in place on all Rolex replicas that have an ETA movement in them.
brsmith1 Posted January 18, 2008 Author Report Posted January 18, 2008 Great, appreciate it yello, all the best dauchand: Thank you for the tip. Do you believe this is worth it? I see these things are very pricey. I was considering doing the bezel & pearl first.
alligoat Posted January 18, 2008 Report Posted January 18, 2008 That crown is NOT a 7mm crown- neither one, see the line under the Rolex crown in the second picture- that's a 6mm crown- stay away! Of course, it's not a bad price for a 6mm crown at this point- just wrong for a sub.
