mediawonk Posted January 19, 2008 Report Posted January 19, 2008 (edited) Is it possible to get a modern steel Daytona and stick a Paul Newman dial on it will all the sub dials line up? cuz I know different dealers sell different faces and sometimes the dials are too bunched up or too far apart. But if I got a real Daytona (modern) and sent it to someone like Jong would he be able to fit a classic old dial? Just to make it unique. and probably a rarity as the old dials are much nicer than those modern 'Hoops' for subdials what do you think?? P.S.I know the original dials were to fit a 37mm watch but people are making the bigger ones.? any one had this done before? Edited January 19, 2008 by mediawonk
freddy333 Posted January 22, 2008 Report Posted January 22, 2008 No workie. Case size is different & the subdial locations vary between the V72 & 4130 movements.
POTR Posted January 24, 2008 Report Posted January 24, 2008 Just go buy one of those Swatch/Omega Schumacher Legend monstrosities..
