Not like that one it had a black face but its working fine and pin point accurate hasnt lost half a minute from My Applemac (time set by mac) clock in two weeks but I have had a few replicas that are completely different from the picture, like totally different watches just the same brand is the only similarity, and I started getting a bit cheesed off with waiting for stuff and when you crack open the toy you got something as worthless as the plastic train it was ferried in. Dear Gang I recently bought a replica (supposedley Swiss) Vintage Daytona from replica-supplier.com Its the correct size 37mm, Its automatic with seconds at nine, the movement is not gold of colour so ripped off there now they've stopped replying to my calls. but curiously enough it keeps spot on time better than any other replica ive had, could this be luck of the draw ? or what movement do you think I have . All the subdials work. ? I would post a pic but I cant train mu puter to keep the size to a decent format Im working on it.

Vintage Daytona? What does it mean when the moving second hand on the sub dial is at the 9 o'clock dial? aren't they usually at 6 Oclock? This is an auto winder but I laso have an auto winder FRANCK MULLER and the second moving hand is at 6 oclock? so it cant be the difference between auto and hand wind?

Metal expandable watch straps! You know the one your grandad wears . The only place you can usually buy them is in run down old shoe menders and key cutters. But are their any dealers who do nice rolled gold al-a-carte ones wider heavier with some decoration on them. I think these old straps should make a comeback. but really good quality versions. the ones you buy hanging on a strip of card always look tatty and plain. My grandad left me a really nice art deco one from the thirties But its a bit small. Anyone come across some good examples?

Is it possible to get a modern steel Daytona and stick a Paul Newman dial on it will all the sub dials line up? cuz I know different dealers sell different faces and sometimes the dials are too bunched up or too far apart. But if I got a real Daytona (modern) and sent it to someone like Jong would he be able to fit a classic old dial? Just to make it unique. and probably a rarity as the old dials are much nicer than those modern 'Hoops' for subdials what do you think?? P.S.I know the original dials were to fit a 37mm watch but people are making the bigger ones.? any one had this done before?

I think that Breitlings must be difficult to read with those pilots trying to control their planes aswell as read the time. I mean you dont want to look at 'war and peace' every time you glance at the time..get a vintage Daytona and be done with all those Christmas decorations.

Like the watches dont like the guns I think you could defend your self by flashing a good rep at the intruder as he will get jelous and just run back to his mom instead. I love the old vintage daytonas and double red sea dweller but the curse of the wakling too quickly next to a wall with artex plaster and grazing it...throughout you life you are gonna collect a eclectic array of different scratches on the watch glass. so whats the answer. is there a miracle solvent or something that re shines the glass. What do the people do who have genuine $30.000.00 originals they must freak out when they catch a baseball and go skidding along the dirt to impress the kids. And don't say 'leave the watch in the locker room'...Dah! we only wear them so the other dads get insanely jealous. SO what do we do.? Cuz its a known fact that men check out other mens watches . If the Rolex Daytona is themed around the race track ...Why does it have a 'units per hour' gage round the bezel ? isint this for diving. Somebody help before I get confused and blow up?

Its a lovely example of an Exotic dial but I just is not for me as they need STICK markers as the face looks incomplete without them. but I can see where you have been wrestling to make other end links fit ..it looks like you have done a little tooling on the lugs to make the strap swing better. Ive Got a Vintage 6365. (Iwill post a blinding pictiure of it when I get the hang of how to do it im working on it) Ive managed to attach a modern Rolesor strap to it... Now I know you will go EEK! but it looks blinding, very steady end links no rattling and it has that unmistakable shiny midlink all around it. all that and UI got it to fit a 37mm case but I had to gently file the sides of the end link to make it fit between the lugs . but it was worth it. im gonna post you a pic in a moment when I edit this.

Is it true that with a professional franken build by the pro's (J & W) can they transform The valjaux so the bottom subdial works? this is on a vintage 37mm daytona conversion? 6263 and 6265. I dont want to pay alot of money and have a static needle at 6 oclock.
