Looks great, D. A true one of a kind. The dial sure does make a big difference. Oh and BTW, I didn't know the gen was single AR. I always figured Omegas for double.

The Planet Ocean is double sided, the 2254.50.00 is only single-sided. I don't believe the original 2531.80 even had single sided AR...

Thanks for the comments. I'll try to answer all the questions.

The original watch was purchased in 2004 from Paul and the work was all done by Ziggy over a 3 year period. I got the dial used on eBay, OEM hands and crowns from Ofrei and with all of the mods complete, I still did not come close to the price of a used SMP. I know because I had looking at genuines before embarking on this path, which by the way, is much more fun B)

The genuine does not have AR but after putting on the OEM dial, I thought it deserved the Single Side AR treatment Chief does. It makes a huge difference and even a purist would be hard pressed to know it was coated - other than the anti-reflectivity :)

The OEM HE valve is operable although I have no plans for diving with this one.

It's a beauty D.

Bond SMP is one of the few watches that I've kept in my collection since the day one. It never loses its appeal, it's such a classic.
