Mark Eleven Posted January 30, 2008 Report Posted January 30, 2008 (edited) Found this on the web, an article by GQ on buying watches. Listed as classics are Rolex Sub, Omega Speedy, Cartier Santos, TAG Heuer Monaco. http://men.style.com/gq/features/slideshow...to=35&play= Edited January 30, 2008 by Mark Eleven
hiker01 Posted January 30, 2008 Report Posted January 30, 2008 whatever it is......I've read that he "confiscated" it from some rich sugar baron of Cuba at the time!
jot9011 Posted January 30, 2008 Report Posted January 30, 2008 For the Office If you're going to own one watch, this is the one. Sleek yet strong, it goes with a suit, jeans
doc savage Posted January 30, 2008 Report Posted January 30, 2008 GQ is slightly biased, since all of those marques just happen to buy a full-page ad now and then. BTW, I saw an SS Santos with a gold bezel at an AD, HOLY CRAP it is huge! I know it comes in a few sizes, do any of our dealers have the monster size one?
Corgi Posted January 30, 2008 Report Posted January 30, 2008 I wonder how much Tag had to pay them for that write-up...
musicale Posted January 30, 2008 Report Posted January 30, 2008 Yeah, surprised at the choice of Carrera Twin-Time. Certainly wouldn't be my choice of "if I only had one" watch.
assasi9 Posted January 31, 2008 Report Posted January 31, 2008 true, they push TAG big time at GQ. a couple of years ago the carrera chrono was their 'man of the year' watch which they gave to all the nominees. i like tags, so its ok with me!
