year and 3 month report

I have a rolex no-date sub that I got from Josh over a year ago. I've been using it pretty much every day. It is my beater watch. I use it for running, swimming and everything else. I swim something like 10,000 yards a week. It's been working great. It runs a tiny bit slow, but it heck, it is a mechanical watch.

I must say that when I first got it, it had a couple of tiny specks of dust on the dial and the watchband fell off. I emailed Josh and he asked me to send it back. I did, and he sent it back perfectly clean and with a new watch band.

I am not nice on watches. Yet, this watch keeps going great. The sapphire crystal is still perfect as it should. The bezel fell off once and I re-glued it. It hasn't fell off since, but it has a couple of scratches. Anyways, I just wanted to give everyone the thumbs up on my watch and to Josh.

Sounds like a good "beater" to me. You beat it up and it keeps on going. And the great thing about it is that you didn't pay a whole lot of money for it. Those are the best kind.

Always nice to hear a good story, we hear so oftern that this or that died, but this takes a kicking and keep on ticking!
