UncleJay
These were once a staple for any Panerai collector, but they are now no more. You don't see marked buckles and straps anymore, what a loss.
Watchmeister
You do but unfortunately people ask $2000 for them. The first one I ever got was one of a lot of 6 straps (including 2 contemporary incursore's and a couple of Paci's for a grand total of $400. The good old days. ANd I am loving that shark skin strap. Watchmeister
I stand corrected. And I do remember. But who else would I ask? You are the strapmaster. Not to make you jealous V but I just picked up a pair of Xa Mas' very inexpensively from a nice guy in New York. And one is sitting on my wrist as I type this. But they don't hold a candle to those Pre-V dirks.

It is good though that Brelli family decided to release the strap under GeF La Spezia which is EXACTLY the same strap as the XaMas without the engraving on the buckle. And for around 100$ lightly used each I have both Black and Tan
Watchmeister
Wow, thanks for the info V. I own a couple of Le Spezia's (1 came in that bulk purchase) and I was wondering how come the leather and the workmanship was so good. You are a wealth of info. Could be time to make custom buckles though.

Victoria
LOVE IT! Very nice. @Uncle Jay: Which PAV is your favourite? @V: Dluddy just reminded me in the Wristchecks about the PAVs. Will shoot them later today!
Watchmeister
Could have been TZ but I don't remember how I found out about it. But when I found out the seller was in NYC it was too easy to stop over and pick them up during lunch hour.
