Lutero Posted March 30, 2008 Report Posted March 30, 2008 Is this a MBW or a Chinese version of Nautilus? Where can I buy a real MBW? What is the best replica of Patek Nautilus? What are the difference between MBW/MBK and Chinese version of Nautilus Thanks
FasTTaP Posted March 30, 2008 Report Posted March 30, 2008 That's a CN version, not a MBK. You can get a MBK via Eurotimez (mail him), Paso, and, of course TTK.
Lutero Posted March 30, 2008 Author Report Posted March 30, 2008 They shop online? Is The movement MBK/MBW swiss eta moviment 2824/2 or 21j Asian automatic? Where can see photos? Sorry for my bad English and thanks
anton Posted March 30, 2008 Report Posted March 30, 2008 The MBK versions use a ETA 2836-2. They can easily be identified by the "swiss made" on the bottom of the dial. Reference pictures casn be found here: MBK Nautilus, History and Review
LordRasta Posted March 30, 2008 Report Posted March 30, 2008 This is the MBK version. (MBW to us old timers) Notice the dial has a "grid" pattern instead of "dots". The dial on the "Blue" MBK version is always like this. Not sure about the black dial.
LordRasta Posted March 30, 2008 Report Posted March 30, 2008 What are the difference between MBW/MBK and Chinese version of Nautilus The CN version was repped from the MBK. So it is a rep of a rep.
narikaa Posted March 30, 2008 Report Posted March 30, 2008 The fit & finish on the MBK/MBW is far superior. The Chinese one is close...but no cigar .
anton Posted March 30, 2008 Report Posted March 30, 2008 For me, the deal breaker was the fit and finish of the bracelet, and this is where the MBK shines. Where the CN version fails and is notorious in not only the Nautilus, but many other bracelet reps is the noticeable gap between links. The MBK version (I have the black unconnected dot dial) has very very minor, if any bracelet gaps and curves well within the contours of the wrist.
Stephane Posted March 30, 2008 Report Posted March 30, 2008 I know that someone is trying to sell his MBK Jumbo since a while ... Me
jeff g Posted March 31, 2008 Report Posted March 31, 2008 (edited) IT IS NOT TRUE that the MBK/MBW version of the Nautilus came ONLY with the connected dot pattern. Quite a lot of us ordered the origianl MBK Nautilus with the UNconnected dot pattern. TTK and his offering of this watch was not the only dealer selling this watch last summer...fortunately. I ordered and received my MBK Nautilus with Unconnected dots from a RWG dealer and received it in two weeks. I did not order it from TTK. Until the arrival of my new Breitling Heritage, the MBK Nautilus was the only watch I wore. The MBK Nautilus is without doubt, one of the best of the best reps, ever. Edited March 31, 2008 by jeff g
FasTTaP Posted March 31, 2008 Report Posted March 31, 2008 To be clear: MBK with blue face: connected dot, with black face: correct unconnected dot. And yes, the MBK PP Nautilus is amazing as a rep, quality and finish are up to a gen Rolex/Omega (probably not up to a gen PP, but still, impressive)
Pix Posted March 31, 2008 Report Posted March 31, 2008 The Chinese version suffers of an average clasp finishing... (see my review in signature).
Lutero Posted March 31, 2008 Author Report Posted March 31, 2008 The Chinese version suffers of an average clasp finishing... (see my review in signature). So is this a MBK version? And Where can I buy a genuine MBK?
Lutero Posted April 1, 2008 Author Report Posted April 1, 2008 a shopping centre in bangkok So there is not a shop on line
narikaa Posted April 1, 2008 Report Posted April 1, 2008 Not as such but there are a few dealers (myself included) who can get them for you .
tobico Posted April 1, 2008 Report Posted April 1, 2008 I have both, Chinese version is comfortable, but not as comfrotable as MBK version I have both, Chinese version is comfortable, but not as comfrotable as MBK version
Watchmeister Posted April 1, 2008 Report Posted April 1, 2008 Lutero- The one you have is definitely CN version. If you want to upgrade to the MBK you now have both an offer from an EU private seller and a trusted dealer to source it Are you going to go for it?
