Help Creating the "Ultimate" TT Sub Frankenwatch

Recommended Posts

I am interested in assembling the "Ultimate" Modern TT Sub Frankenwatch.

In preparation for doing so, I have already acquired a Gen Dial and Insert.

Now, what case do the experts here recommend? Do I order a straight Stainless MBW (knowing that I need to purchase an 18kt bezel and crown?) or the TT MBW?

Any source for a good 14 or 18kt bracelet would be appreciated.

Thanks for the assistance!!!

TT MBW or a TT TW Best. You got to fit the gen dial in there and its a small dial, so you only have two options. I don't know about the TT WM9- might be a third possibility.

Good luck on the bracelet- maybe what you get on the rep will suffice. Or you try the $350+ TT's on ebay and swap the clasp.

I don't like MBW and TW Best. They don't have good crystal/rehaut profile and look. Deep yes, but they simply look wrong. Noob is very good in this aspect, but then again the rehaut is shallow.

I hate to say it, but the WM9 might be the best choice at the moment.

The one I posted uses (as far as I know) a TW Best movement and a custom RepAustria case... Not sure how members feel about the rehaut depth on the one I just sold but it was always admired...perhaps contact member Avara to see how he did his or read http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=35247&hl=

that thread...

im with By-Tor :

the MBW and TW-Best cases are dead wrong - the Noob a little better - but the rehaut is

to shallow - this can be spotted easy even on the wrist :(

the noob would be perfect for an 16800 :) but in your case i would try WM9 or

decide if you can accept the flaws ...

cheers,

Frank
