Hi Folks,

I currently live in China and have the graet chance to buy a HBB. As I am not as experienced in buying this quality of replicas as many of you are, I would really appreciate your opinions about the watches you find on the pictures below.

My problem is, that my dealer offers 2 different qualities for a very similar price. So it is not about the price but about the quality. I already checked most discussions on this side concerning HBB and think that one of the models he offers is the V1 PIX shows us in the "HBB : comparison shots Version1 vs Version2" discussion. Nevertheless i found a further replica which i could not find anywhere else yet. Both watches look equally good. The differences i could find are the movement, since the "new" edition i found has rather the movenment of PIX

low beat is priced competitively.

Be careful as I encountered an issue with the low beat 7750 movement where the chrono hour dial would move itself slowly (like a notch every 15mins). This had something to do with a bad batch. I had to go to GZ 2x to short this thing out as the watch was for my mrs and she wanted a defect free one. :D

That all sound to be complicated now :)

Because I see no V2 as I learnt it from Watchmark : the V2 has an engraved rotor, and normally a low beat movement. also it is described as Limited Edition. And the engravings are not that nice. So I think like you, and somehow not like Taka :)

This is not MArk's V2 or ultimate V3 or whatever.

He used to have an "unknown" version with screw-down crown. Has one of yours this screw-down ?

Hi Guys,

thanks for your replies!

so now some answers from my side. I checked watchmarks side and as far as i can see he does not sell the VII i found here. Eventhough i couldn't find pictures on his site, where you could see the watch from behind and check the engraving. I still think this is kind of new version you guys haven't seen yet.

Though two of your comments made me think. Do all of you think both of them don't have AR? If yes, how bad do you think is it? And what about the movement. Since both have different movements, which one is more reliable? Is the VII's one a low beat 7750 movement ? (sorry...i'm still too new here)

As far as I can remeber both BB had pull out crowns, nothing to screw there...

I still like the VII much better than the V1 since it's overall apperiance is closer to the gen. So i actually decided to go and buy it this weekend. Will upload some more pictures when i have it if you want. But i'm till very thankfull for any opinion!

Cheers!

Rob

The HBB really deserves AR coating. I had a light version (without AR) and it was already a really nice piece of watch. The aftermarket AR coating from K2222 transformed it and made the dial pattern really pop up.

Regarding the movements : well, you'll see very different opinions and experiences, this is why I would like to answer you with a more technical and objective point of view : see the link to a The Zigmeister post in my signature explaining pros & cons from the low and high beat A7750...

There's not a better one. They are different.

Hmmm... I am wondering why you said that the V2 is closer to the gen. I handled many HBBs and no doubt that the best built quality is the V1 "Ultimate" (which I don't think exists on your pictures).

This one is the quote for reference:

Just a short history, the first rep of this model comes with SS bezel with SS case, it is still a benchmark of today's rep standard.

Then... came TWP generous sale of RG bezel. Well... This piece is not 100% perfect. Has a scratch on the AR coating and the clasp didn't really close properly. Minor issue that I didn't report before:

The next HBB comes from a member's sale MEYER8888. AWESOME PRICE, AWESOME PIECE.

... then came the next one, this one I traded the RG with this Tuiga SS + I got some spare cash> A big regret on my part but this watch in any case one of the most accurate HBB rep out of box.

I did reluming on this piece which I have yet to take picture but it's definitely a keeper. Currently, I am eying to regain my RG HBB or better still, the Tuiga version. I love the look of RG + Polished bezel but I love the dial on Tuiga RG most. Maybe Tuiga with polished bezel? Dead giveaway will be the weight of these RG pieces. Tuiga SS = 150g, Tuiga RG = 150g  How could it be?

Hi,

The build quality of the V1 is indeed excellent, I have one (the light version).

The build quality of the V2 is comparable but not as good for some details, I fully agree.

From my point of view, I described the V2 (actually V3, i.e. a V2 from Watchmark with small improvements upon request, remember the relative thread) as closer to the gen (speaking of the RG version, not the Tuiga or whatever) due to :

- the rotor finish (thin rotor, engraved, with smooth center)

- the movement look (regulator)

It does not make it better. Just closer, and again, this is only my opinion. And I'm not the best HBB specialist around ;)

Actually that's all. At the time I was mentionning this, it was cheaper also, so for me that was the right solution. In the meantime, Mark decided to sell it 850 USD, which I find not interesting anymore although still cheaper than the V1 from PC/TT/PT

Don't misunderstand me Taka, I'm not saying the V1 is not worth, especially now that it's proven it has a far better CF dial. I was just saying that, at a time, the V2/V3 was the best value for money.

What I'm saying for sure is that 1200 USD is an insane price for an unperfect rep ! And what I'm saying too is that I don't understand how watchmark can sell the very same V1 about 200 USD cheaper than the others...
