chris5264
I know at some point I'll end up with a gen sub, but not today I was curious about opinions on the best Swiss made homage. It looks like Marcello is probably it, next perhaps Debaufre then Sandoz?
alligoat
Check out Steinharts- they run in the $400-500 range, with a Swiss ETA movt. Also, there are some no-name copy subs- maybe Homer has them (or was it PT- Precious Time)- reasonably priced. And Invicta has the poor man's sub- the 8926 with the Miyota movt. A good deal for around $110, WR to 200 meters.
tmg
Also check out O&W's at Westcoastime. MkII watches also has nice pieces for $500-$600 and the new LRRP
alligoat
Good point, TMG. The O&W's are nice. I'm very pleased with my Mirage III, great military chrono looks like the Sinn 103, and the older Breguets. And their Sub type watches are great values, also. chris5264
thanks, those are all possiblities but what about RXW? I can't even find their web page anymore. Didn't they make a really nice homage?

Now Debaufre, they changed their name. $442 direct, you can find for cheaper on ebay and pmwf, timezone, etc.
alligoat
Interesting name change! I picked up this Willian Marshall for a couple of hundred dollars from Switzerland a few years ago- a nice beater with a 2824-2 and I personally tested it to 100 ft- it's rated 200m. chris5264
I did see one of those Willian Marshall's for sale,,,looked pretty good but I might try to do the debaufre 39 and see if I can jam in a tudor dial and hands. Anyone know Homer's link on the bay? I wish MKii made a sub homage, I would pick it up in a second!!! IMO, they make the best homage watches for the money...but so far just explorer and two blancpains.
