slay
Apparently King has a FULL Ceramic Black Magic on her site. Its the one from the first maker and comes with a ceramic case and bezel. Take a look here: http://www.kingwatches.net/HUBLOT-040.htm Now whats so funny about this is the fact that the FULL Ceramic HBB with ceramic Bezel and Ceramic case costs only 750US$ while the Rose Gold HBB with Ceramic bezel costs 950$ - mind you both from the same maker. Is gold plating now more expensive than a ceramic case?! I do not understand, please enlighten me
Mickey Padge
Wow that is a new one! I imagine the whole case is scratch proof, unlike the PVD version, one sratch and it is clear it is a replica.... It might be worth double checking with the dealer to confirm it is 100% ceramic, also where did you see the price listed? Cheers!
Chronus
The price of ceramic is inflated by dealers.... how can a full ceramic Gucci with quartz cost $125 otherwise? The other alternative is that it is NOT full ceramic and steel coated with ceramic.

Slay my friend i agree lets just whait and see have the josh and andrew crew will raise the price on this also. If its full ceramic i will order one at 750$ its a fair price. slay
not for me, i rather pay 315$ for the lite version, b/c brushed pvd looks just like brushed ceramic. no visible difference, not on the pics and not in person. also the lite has a black datewheel i get free a/r from k222 b/c i won it at our last GTG. i also think the brushed part of the case are not ceramic. 315$ is less than half of the full ceramic version and less than 1/3 the non-lite black magic with cheap a/r compared to the 950+$ 750 is not bad, true. still too much IMHO b/c an asian J12 is less than 200$ (full ceramic, even the bracelet) Edited June 22, 2008 by slay
Mickey Padge
The only issue with PVD is, one scratch and then what? It is clear it is a replica to one and all That is the only thing that puts me off the PVD coated HBB's..... If this pans out to be true all ceramic and scratchproof to boot, then it is a great find

If this pans out to be true all ceramic and scratchproof to boot, then it is a great find The problem with pvd-coating on replicas is that these watches are not made of the hardest steel, really. So when a very hard coating (like PVD) is applied on a soft surface (like our replicas) there might happen something which is called egg-shell-effect: the harder coating flakes off. The brand Sinn hardens every watchcase before coating (even though it is much harder U-Boat steel on th U-line) which they call tegimenting. I really would prefer genuine ceramic any day, it has also different weight, temperature and "feel". Just my 2 cents though.

vric
cool.. $250 ceramic bezel, $750 full ceramic watch and the Chanel alwas been lower than $300 (and even the bracelet is ceramic !) Something is wrong here I like my $300 lite Black Magic finally Edited June 22, 2008 by vric

Was going to use that credit to get possibly this or the Tuiga. try asking again and see what you get this time? I havent seen it on her showbox site yet either. Chronus
I have a feeling the brushed part with the screws to hold the rubber strap will be PVD... can anyone get a response from one of the dealers on this part? I specifically asked if the case was coated ceramic or full ceramic and was told it is NOT coated and that it is full ceramic. I didn't think to ask of the brushed part, as I assumed the genuine had PVD'd steel there, from looking at the pics. I've never seen the brushed ceramic bezel, so if it's the same finish, perhaps it can be done. (PS. what are andrew and josh's big bang sites now?) Mickey Padge
I went to the bigbangworld website, and there is a message saying the site has been suspended. They are selling through photobucket now... This was on Josh's email: For Hublot watches... Please refer to this Album.. Email for more information. http://s215.photobucket.com/albums/cc178/hublow/ Cheers!
z3k0
I'm quite sure gen has all case parts made of ceramic (except lateral inserts, insert that goes under bezel and inner construction). Since there is brushed ceramic bezel, I don't see why there would not be brushed ceramic case parts. If all-ceramic HBBs would really be in ~$750 ball-park that would be great (of course, if they really are full ceramic), but I don't see how new all-black models with PVD case can remail at $1000+ So either it will go down of all-ceramic will go up regards I have a feeling the brushed part with the screws to hold the rubber strap will be PVD... can anyone get a response from one of the dealers on this part? Chronus
Is there a version of the Black Magic with a carbon fibre dial ? Like this one? http://www.kingwatches.net/HUBLOT-041.htm I like the CF dial.. I gotta say... and don't have any watches with a CF dial... not any I can think of right now. takashi
@Chronus: I haven't seen one with CF dial combo on the gen but even genuine Hublot can be customized. It's just a matter of how long you can wait. This ceramic Hublots are all backordered (the gen that is). I am heavily considering this piece. Polished Ceramic looks better than the brushed one (just my opinion, used to have both).
