550bryan Posted July 12, 2008 Report Share Posted July 12, 2008 I'm relatively new to the forum but have been hooked on watches for my entire life, and that's a long time as I'm 62 years old. I have many genuine watches including Ball, Corum, Choppard, Rolex, Longines, Breitling, Omega etc. I have also recently purchased some replicas and have made some bad decisions, so I need to learn much more particularly given the wild west nature of the replica market. I'm one of thse novices thart wants a high quality replica and am willing to pay a higher amount for a good watch. The most expansive genuine watch I've purchased to date is a Breitling World Navitimer that cost me $5000. I always liked Panerai, but have been reluctant to pay the price for a genuine watch. My emotinal side says yes, but my rational side says it's not worth the money (also my wife thinks I'm crazy to spend so much on watches). As I've said, I've had some bad expereinces with relicas so far, including a long drawn our process with PAM111 where I sent money for a watch in late May and still don't have a satisfactory watch, we'll see on that one.
