rolli Posted July 13, 2008 Report Posted July 13, 2008 for all pam028 brushed steel pvd case owners. this is an order from a rwg member. here is the result: workings by my watchmaker. 1. step: case disassembled in single parts, 2. step: crown-guard and lever adapted to the case and palp crown, 3. step: case tube and crown o-ring gaskets removed, 4. step: little crown-guard screws screwed in the case, ( protected threads ) ( long spindle-screws for the strap attachment wasn't delivered ) 4. step: each single part wrapped in tissue paper and plastic bags, workings by the pvd company. 1. step: removing of the old pvd coating with a special leach procedure, 2. step: granulate and glass/ceramic bead blasting, 3. step: special dark anthracite pvd coating in connection with special machine adjustments, note: over the time the pvd color will be darker by the finger grease, you get the same effect with watchmaker silicon grease, enjoy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! rolli

pubus Posted July 19, 2008 Report Posted July 19, 2008 looks outstanding!! detailed photos shows amazing job by the factory I was considering getting myself a pvd watch but our dealers coating is nothing compared to this. This is far better than the gen coating or am I just mistaken? btw Rolli, please, if you could, PM me with info about the overall price on getting case plus CG, screws and crown PVD'ed. I will appriciate it very much. Cheers
