Fireman_Fred
Thanks guys !! I don't normally go for vintage watches as I prefer the larger, chunkier modern designs but when I saw this one on Ebay, I just HAD to have it
chrgod
Beautiful piece... Vintage Seamasters like this are my favorite watches. Actually the first "expensive" watch I remember is that my father wore a Seamaster like this for many many years. He wore it through the dark "quartz-infected 80ties and into the new millenium. My mother bought it to him when they were engaged ( they married in 1962). My fathers Seamaster is unfortunately lost at the moment. Hopefully it will turn up one day! It was a manual wind model, without date. I bought my father a replacement last year, a 1963 Seamaster Automatic Calender. These watches are timeless classics! Buying this watch made me think about the point in buying replicas.. For the price of a good replica you can buy a cool vintage piece like a Seamaster, Heuer or two though vintage Seiko mechanical chronos...
