AR Removal

Hi guys

is there anyone here that could remove the AR from a Marina Militare that I just got?

Any help ould be appreciated

Is the Sapphire Crystal from Davidsen or our regular dealers?

If the crystal/watch is from our regular dealers we have on this board then it should be fine as there are a few members who can remove it for you. I have 2 DSN watches with double AR and it's impossible to remove it.

A dremel and some patience is all that is required (sapphire only)

Before you try a dremel or some other mechanical method, you might try ammonia (some formulations of Windex or glass cleaner contain ammonia). Ammonia removes some AR coatings as I discovered the hard way.

I have removed all types of AR with a simple sponge scourer and a tub of pinnacle brushed satin finish polish.....

Does not take long either, 20-30 minutes by hand, per side

i used brasso and pumice hand cleaner as well.

When I was oyxcleaning my 172 I thought it would be a good idea to give it a quick degrease with acetone.
