Nottingham is the number one city in the UK for break-ins and robberies, so no-one has a fancy car there. I see no reason not to believe his story, as everything seems in order. If you're interested, discuss Escrow and authentication with him and it'll give you the needed security. The serial is L280337, fwiw.
