alant
Only 250pcs available. Limited edition for Singapore Grand Prix, first F1 Night Race! Looks good, hope to see a good rep of this soon. Does anyone likes this as well?
Logan
How ironic that the first pic I see of this long awaited watch is via a replica site.. As for the watch, yes it looks great, Red sure seems to be the fashion on watches at present. I could see a fairly good rep being made with a PVD case, but the forged carbon is going to make a really good rep tough. Unless our chinese friends figure out how to make it look the same in plastic of course !!
coolfire
I really dread the thought at how much this will cost... Looks nice though...
alant
Yes Logan think it will be real tough to see one with carbon case. Anyway the factories these days rather spend their effort & energy into doing some unpopular reps. And coolfire, let me guess price might be $1088? $888? $788? $588? Best of course is $388 or $288! Here are more pics of this watch!

alant
Haha I'm also not into red but this watch makes me think twice. Do you all prefer this to come with sec at 12 or otherwise?
takashi
the gen comes with second at 12... of course a reproduction closest to gen is preferred, but no, I won't buy this still
coolfire
Since it's the Singapore GP, let's hope the cartel influences the factories to make this... Company watch!
mossanti
i always love red..so i would buy it for sure
alant
Haha coolfire so fast another company watch! Actually Hublot also like AP, found a successful model, they just come out with more and more versions of it in different dial colors and matching straps. And taka since red has never been your color, it's time to try something new who knows you might like it! We shall see what the rep factories can come up with but I'm not too hopeful... ecsm
Cool looking watch. I called a Singapore AD and the MRSP was about SGD44K (~USD31K). According to another dealer I spoke to, after mkt prices are up to USD38K. It looks like a forged carbon case which will be very tough to replicate. alant
And here's an extract of the interview between AP CEO Oliviero Bottinelli & Jamie Nonis. "When the organisers first approached us, I said, it's in nine months, we're never going to make it, but yes, I want to do the watch." "It's incredible, because when people heard that AP was creating a watch for the Singapore Grand Prix, some of them put a deposit down without even seeing what the watch would look like." Logan
Sadly that suggests many those people put down deposits purely for the speculative profit potential of the watch.. and have no real interest in it.

alant
Guess what!! I saw and tried on the gen one today at my local AP AD! It's totally a different feel and I must say I like it but it isn't pocket friendly at all. The pics don't do justice, the real watch looks different and feels great!
