freddy333
The auction price is realistic if this is 100% gen with a verifiable Comex provenance. But, although the seller is reputable, I have my doubts about this 1. Though with a previous pass through Antiquorum, I may very well be mistaken. Still, the Comex label does not look right to me. alligoat
What a price tag! I think this one from Shear-time would be more suited to my budget! http://cgi.ebay.com/1985-Vintage-Rolex-Sea...id=p3286.c0.m14 200K for a watch, a Rolex like this one, is just too much for me. And with the market crashing, maybe you can pick it up for 100K next month!

JoJo35
7 mil serial that has white gold surrounds? I always thought that was matte dial territory
alligoat
Good point JoJo, but I guess the seller is saying it's in the second batch of 150 with WG surrounds. Hate to think what a matte dial 16660 would go for!
Shundi
Ok Sbreene has thrown in 1 million shares of WaMu stock... we've got $5.78 folks, who will contribute the rest
CJT74
I saw that while browsing the bay myself. Can someone please explain the reason the watch is worth 200K? And what is Comex?
dalayclass
I live in the city where the Comex is. Maybe you know but the Comex watches were delivered to the divers with another dial and for them, it looked cheap to have Comex written on the dial and they went to see watchmakers to do the exchange, without asking for the dial replaced... this way, my watchmaker has a 1680 Comex (60 pieces...) and some dials he had for free... if they had known... When i 1st saw a COMEX dial i thought "how ugly and cheap is to have a rlx with a company's logo on the dial.." Then i realized..
