triosLescano
I am not very expert in modding, but I have a proyect for a simple modification: daydate (or datejust) gold + croco strap + replacement dial The only datejust/ daydates that I have seen in internet are the standard asian from Trusty, Perfect-clones, King ecc... I think that are all identical But I have a great doubt. In your opinion and experience, the measures of these reps are compatible whit a replacement dial ? Daydate has also the problem of day window at 12, datejust not....... alligoat
My experience has been that a gen dial is 1mm smaller than the rep dials and very probably won't fit in the rep case- it will slide past the rehaut ring and hit the crystal! But all you can do is try it yourself. Some people have said that they were able to fit a gen dial in a rep case. Of course, you have to cut the dial feet and glue the dial to the movement ring, or use dial dots to hold it in place.
kbh
Here's a look at it. It doesn't look too bad. This is a Swiss ETA model from Perfect Clones. Date wheel lines up nicely.
triosLescano
Yes, it is not bad, I think thath it is the standard watch that all forum dealers have. But in Internet stores there is a great number of incredible dials whit various colors, materials eccc.. I desire to realiza one or two "creative" daydate or dateyust. The best reps are steel + black , a fine and coloured watch is a intresting contrast.........
Shadow_
It is really an hard work to put a gen dial on an asian eta and the visual effect sorry but it's not so good, u can really notice the empty space between rehaut and dial-border, I think it is more convenient to look about a better franken project maybe with a gen/replacement case and gen dial... kbh
I agree. I didn't say it was great. But when not seen through a macro lens it's not really so noticeable. It got me motivated for better.
triosLescano
I agree. I didn't say it was great. But when not seen through a macro lens it's not really so noticeable. It got me motivated for better. Your watch is nice. I am intrested to a gen dial for the variety of options (Mop, diamonds, creative colors ecc...) , not because I think that the copy is bad.
