tictoc65 Posted October 7, 2008 Report Posted October 7, 2008 Hi everyone New guy here, i have been reading the forums and am now more confused than ever, (i'm sure that goes away eventually) I am looking for an SA as my first Rep purchase, I've seen several on the site that have the Asian movements from what i've read the Swiss ETA movments are the superior works. Since im looking to keep this watch for a while i was wondering if... 1. is ther an SA with the ETA Movement? 2. will the ETA work with the current SA case and dial? 3. does this even matter, is one just as good as the other? 4. what question should i have asked that i didn't? thanks tictoc65
Pugwash Posted October 7, 2008 Report Posted October 7, 2008 I've not seen them sold with gen ETA movements. Yes, you can fit a gen ETA into the case. One of the hands will be a tight fit. The Asian 7750 is 'good enough'.
Dizzy Posted October 7, 2008 Report Posted October 7, 2008 Contact Angus at puretime. He can make one for you. You're gunna be looking at around $900-$1000 though just so you know. The gen ETA7750 is a rather expensive movement. I'd rather buy 3 Asian7750 Super Avengers and just toss on a new one when one breaks haha

owdeguy Posted October 8, 2008 Report Posted October 8, 2008 I'll be building a swiss franken SA soon....
