Can I take watch to gray market dealer for repair?

My crown was off watch when it arrived from dealer. It appears to be broken. It is a Breitling Navitimer. Dealer said it is the push on type, not screw in. Dealer said he would pay for the repair. Do replica Navitimers have the same crown-stem mechanism as genuine Navitimers? Can I take to a gray market Breitling dealer?

Thanks

DO NOT take it to a dealer who handles gens!

Find yourself a local independent watchsmith, then call them first before taking the watch in to make sure they're willing to handle reps.

You'd probably be better off going to a local watchmaker- one who's rep-friendly. BTW, I've never heard of a press on crown, (but that doesn't mean anything) and if you need parts, they're going to have to come from China. Typically, a Navitimer would be powered by an asian 7750 with a screw on crown. Also, an asian stem probably won't match a Swiss one.

Maybe your dealer could send you a stem and a crown- just in case.
