Rolex Day-Date

Hi, I am thinking about buying a Gold Rolex Day-Date. I have looked at Watchmaker9's models, but wonder if its worth the extra cost. I looked at these models of his:

http://www.watchmaker9.tv/products/rolex_d...te_118208PR.htm

However, these are both $529.00.

If I buy from trustytime or another of our trusted dealers, they will only be about $230.00. Is it worth paying the extra $300.00, and what would be the advantage?

IMO WM9's DDs are way overpriced. Lots of differing opinions on how long gold watches last. I'm wearing one from Josh today. I've had it over a year and the gold shows no sign of wear. It's a daily-wear, though.

If you get the plated versions from Trusty or Perfect Clones, you'll get the best plating available and excellent followup service. Also, if you're looking for a specific model, check out Ruby's site, nicereplica.com. You can send her a picture of any watch you want, whether it's listed on her site or not, and she'll likely find it for you. All for $200-220.

I believe the WM9 Datejusts and Day-Dates are the TW Best versions, the best out of the box in terms of build quality. The finishing on these are better than the CN ones.

As AllergyDoc pointed out, I also believe they are overpriced, and can/could be had cheaper. The two dealers who used to source these were Eddie Lee (who is now 'retired') and River.

WM9 is adding a higher mark-up on his, an example is of the WM9 submariner, his one I believe is $500 and something, and the dealer Precious Time can source them for around $200 less.
