Quarks
This is the BEST arktos I have seen. I am so envious. Wear it well. How's the date mag?
subzero1
This is the BEST arktos I have seen. I am so envious. Wear it well. How's the date mag? Same as all the others, 1.5x mag at most. I never was a Pannie Sub guy before, but after strapping this one on I ordered the newest 024A from Eddie Lee. Tikerz
Now that's the BEST Arktos. They got the bezel marker font correct. Excellent!
subzero1
Also, the lume is pretty good on this watch. Slightly better than my 212. Up till now the 212 had the best lume out of all my Pannie reps.
lovepanerai
Does it have an Asian 7750 and Saphire? Looks awesome, wear it well....
subzero1
Does it have an Asian 7750 and Saphire? Looks awesome, wear it well.... Yes, definitely the 7750 in there, the sweep of the 2nd hand is great. And I'm pretty sure it's sapphire as the glass is cooler to the touch than my other Pannies that have synthetic mineral crystal, but I could be wrong.... lovepanerai
you can tell if it is an Asian 7750 if the date font has a closed 6, 9, etc. the early asian movement versions had an open 6. Do you have a pic of the date? thx

OldeCrow
It never ceases to amaze me the stuff Neil comes up with! He doesn’t seem to run warm, either smoke-n hot or cold. And he’s smoke-n hot more often than not!

lovepanerai
@Dani - EL's version is supposed to be different (Bezel font is smaller) do you have some pics? THX
OldeCrow
@Dani - EL's version is supposed to be different (Bezel font is smaller) do you have some pics? THX I literally got EL's yesterday, the markers are stout and the "S" is uniformly shaped unlike the genuine and Neils! The markers are glued on with something that resembles superglue. It's still awesome and its running an amazing +- 2sec in 24hr! I removed all the raised markers from mine just to spare myself the agony of loosing one. I would go with Neils while he's got them if you're after the look! here's mine without the markers

leitztozeiss
Yeah, Neils Arktos I think is the best one right now. The bezel markers are nice and wide, like gen. Crown looks decent also. The date is the downer. But, I'm wondering if the dual magnifying lens idea used on the 222 could be used on the Arktos also, or any of the date Pams. I really like the high mag of the 222 date, though it is slightly dark due to the light having to pass through the two magnifying glass elements. I wonder if those little magnifying elements tucked into the date aperture of the 222 can be sourced as a separate part for upgrading date pams. It might be an easier mod than replacing the existing cyclops. Just a thought.
Nebakanezzar
Couple questions questions: 1) As Finepics asked, Do we know how the bezel markers are attached on this? 2) Are the bezel markers on the gen as raised as on this rep? 3) Does Neil have an "offer" for this watch someone can link for me? BTW, realy REALY nice watch!
Finepics
Actually I have just realised that the markers are in fact welded to the bezel. If you look closely you can see oxidation marks at the edges of he markers where they have been spot welded!!! Excellent stuff!!
Guest TTK
I cant confirm wjether they are welded or not......but my supplier confirmed that she had sent back a number of the earlier versions and that the factory had addressed this particular issue......I tried removing one of the markers...and was unable to do so.....I believe Subzero tried also and failed......so it would seem they have corrected this issue.....! BTW....new stock of these coming in shortly.....so if you guys want one...best to contact me now....or create a list in this topic.....! regards TTK Edited July 21, 2006 by TTK
