Fainted black logo on Sea Dweller backcase

Hi

How can i recover the fainted ROLEX OYSTER ORIGINAL GAS ESCAP VALVE logo on the back case of my SD?

It seems that the black paint has faded away.

I would leave it that way. It gives the watch character. But if you really want to restore it, just wipe some black paint in there.

I think I read that someone on this board or another used flat black model paint, then put some clear nail polish over it for a nice finish.

I think that was on Rep Geek. I tried it and it worked pretty easily. But, it will wear off just as the original did.

Just paint in the letters with a small brush and after it dries, wipe off the excess with a solvent type paint thinner very lightly applied to a clean rag. It will take a couple of tries to get it looking good with all the letters fully covered, but it's really very simple. I didn't try the clear nail polish.
