ifly65
I have a chance to pick up an older original polex mbw 1680. Its in excellent condition. It says original Polex Registered Design on one side and 5512 or 5513 on the other side. One problem...it runs 90 secs slow each day. He has tried to adjust the timing. Why is the Polex version better? What price are they getting for the Polex version now? Were the Polex mbw's genuine swiss eta back in '98? Thanks! alligoat
I have the Watchmaster 1680- it says 'Orig Polex Design- 5513". These watches, like the MBW's, take original crystals, bezels and bezel inserts. They cost around $400 new, so used would be a little less maybe. The asian copy, or clone movement wasn't around in '98, AFAIK. The movement can be serviced and should be OK.
