sander
One of my first nice gen watches was a Portuguese Rattrapante. Really nice classic watch but it didn
Shundi
Sander, Thanks for a very detailed pictorial and review! I can't say I'm surprised the cartel would pull this kind of thing...In all fairness, we'll need to wait for more comments/reviews but as you said, this does not look promising... Guess I made a good move springing for JAG's gen Seamaster instead of picking up a porto...
chrgod
Informative review, thanks! It is a very nice looker! The caseback looks really good! Sorry that the movement still seems to be a bit unreliable.
mwee
Very infomative! Thanks for doing this. Been waiting for a member to review this watch before I get it. Its a beautiful watch! Too bad on the movement though!
Toadtorrent
It is really a beautiful watch. If they could ever fix that movement...life would be good.

simzger
Case: I thought that the case of the old reps were only 40 mm which is 0,9mm too small. This one is 40,79mm so that’s perfect. It’s a little higher than the gen 13,87mm vs 12,45mm for the gen. Sander, can you please clarify this? I have no idea what you are talking about. Are you saying that there actually is a new version of the portuguese? Because everything i read so far suggests that nothing has changed at all and the so-called "improved version" is still the same as it ever was... ...but now you say the case size changed from the "old" portu chrono reps? are you sure about that? thanks simon Edited January 1, 2009 by simzger

StormTooper4
Thanks for Taking one for the team dude, I've been debating this for sooooo long. Might have to take the plunge, Shame about the lack of AR though, I think I read somewhere that the movement is also a PITA to remove and then put back , do you think that's still the case? That Brown strap looks awesome, may I ask the source? cheers and fingers crossed for you ST4

I have 2 Big Pilot's and one came with damaged AR. I send it to Chief and you won't believe the difference. I might take some pics sometime to show the difference. I have no experience with removing or installing the movement. I just opened it again to take some pics of it. It
