He is older than that. Period and that watch is pure awesomness. Congrats

And the price is actualy gone up, hovering around 1K at the mo...

Heck, there's a Breitling Chrono Avenger white dial on WUS right now for ~$1400, I think. Oh, well, I was saying the same thing when folks were buying $1K HBBs. We all know we could buy nice new GEN SEIKO 5 series automatic for under $200. and my watch is $650, not 1k. $1K? Wow... You could buy a nice used SMP for that.
