Guest avitt
Well, my pilot watch bug has continued... Here's my latest creation: Those who saw my post on Custom Homebuilt Flieger #1 will be familiar with the specs: 3-piece, 42mm German 316L stainless case, with a low-domed, double AR coated sapphire crystal. Superluminova dial and hands. This one features PVD coating on the case, and on the CDG decorated Seagull movement. The watch is currently wearing a black leather flight strap, in the original B-Uhr style. Here are a couple of shots of the twins (soon to be triplets)... Guest avitt
Thanks guys! I think this one is better as well but did you consider an onion crown on this at all.? Yes I did. In fact, I ordered a completely different style for the mid-case and crown (not an onion, but a smaller coin-edge). But I received the parts that you see, so I went with them... Looks great Avitt, I have been wondering about these, did you do the DLC your self? Thanks Andy. No, with these parts, it is more cost-effective to have the coating done by the vendor (standard PVD, on both the case and the movement). He also pointed out to me that the crowns have internal gaskets, which are not easily removed for the coating process.
