Replica sites and the obession with Sparta!

So I finally sign-up on repgeek and what do I find... more "spartans" I dont get this whole deal. What started this obsession? I am thoroughly confused when all of a sudden reading lanikai's post i see "WE ARE RWG THE OTHER MOVIE IS SPARTA". Which lani its actually 300 but ill let that pass

Anyway is there some back story to all this or did someone just go "YEAH 300! MAN WHAT A MOVIE!" and start screaming on one of the boards about it?

I think it came from their base in the start was not more then 300 strong then they moved up to many 1000's and the 300 theme stuck.I think Sylar can sheed some better light on this..

RG is not my kind of board more dealer oriented and i dont like that, but still i love all the guys over their like Sylar,Anubis and the others great people and forum.
