MAHLER
The words cannot express anything. Cannot say how much important was. Because there was... was there when the days were full of sun.... was there when everything was banal... was there when we felt there happy... and was there when we were deeply sad... but the words cannot express anything. Because they are the words of a human and unfair society. I cannot tell you nothing that maid to assuage the suffering. Because I would be conceited and selfish if I thought about doing this. Pain is alone your.... is correct that is your alone because your love is only your. What I can say is only that I understand your pain. I have lost a long time ago my cat Teodora and this lost has marked me deeply. When was winter and there was the snow, in a house without heating my cat spent the days protected on my belly under the wool sweater. I was happy about this small sacrifice.... because she was with me and even if didn't use words human when I was sad... my cat tried in all the ways to cuddle me. My cat knew me very more of the human people. Only this I feel me to be able to say. Edited July 30, 2006 by MAHLER
fitmic
I am really sorry for you mate. Losing a family member like that is REALLY painful. What you did was the best, both for you and the dog. It is a really, really hard decission to make, but in the end the best. Be sure to cry a lot, because sorrow and grief a part of mourning. Be well my friend. longshot
In November we had to have my best buddy Ginz of 16+ years put to sleep. He was in tremendous pain and it was the right thing to do, but so difficult. A friend sent me this quote: "Not the least hard thing to bear when they go from us, these quiet friends,is that they carry away with them so many years of our lives. Yet if they find warmth therein, who would begrudge them those years that they have so guarded? And whatever they take, be sure they have deserved."--John Galsworth You have my sympathy but know you did the right thing.
Estaban
Thank you to everyone for the kind words and support. I had so many good times with Casey. She's been through 3 girlfriends, two wives (I'm still married to the second ), the birth of my daughter, and countless good times. Casey was an amazing dog. I will never forget the good times. Sometimes she was the only one I could turn to in tough times. I'm serious. This is a good place with good people. I wish I knew some of you personally.
