George W. actually had a special Timex made for him by his former college roommate who ended up as Vice President of Timex. Really? Never knew that...you learn something new every day!!!!

People don't like their president to flash bling, especially in these times. I don't give a [censored] if the president wore a sundial or a Flavor Flav clock as long as he can get the damn job done. Fidestro is 100% correct...of all the things to be pilloried for by the press and the ever agile minds like those of Master of Puppets, the last thing a public official wants to be known for are his/her personal excesses. We all witnessed how Clothes-gate knocked Ms. Palin down a peg or two in the media...
