krustybrand
I just had this strap arrive today. I think it improves this watch quite a bit. It doesn't feel nearly so heavy and is really comfortable. Sorry about the obvious dust in the photos. It was too darn cold out to take the time to stage it properly. krustybrand
Very noice! That is genuine isn't it.... Yes, it is indeed - purchased a couple of years ago from Thomasng for a ridiculously low price and fully serviced by Omega last month (sorry, Zig). smc
Yeah that does look good. I think it looks even better than the steel bracelet on that watch! I was toying with that as well but ended up with the mesh for my electric blue - it's plenty comfy as well in case you were thinking about it (plus it doesn't pull hairs). digitalnrg
The strap looks real nice. I should look to get one in black color for my black chrono
Shundi
Love it...really goes well with the Chrono!
krustybrand
I always felt that rubber would sort of 'stick' to the skin and pull hairs, but last summer, my titanium Oris TT1 with the rubber band became my daily wearer. I'm now a big fan. Cleaning after a sweaty bike ride or yard work is much easier than a bracelet too.
Jimster
That is a great combination........and a nice touch on the casing pad. Jim
thewatchmanpr
Beautifull. Where you find that strap?
krustybrand
I bought the strap and clasp from someone on TZ, but it can be ordered through any Omega dealer, although it is not cheap. I believe the part nos. are as follows; blue strap (20mm) - 9798.80.82 clasp - ST1506.832.117 Beware, though. The gen case has 2 sets of lug holes, and without taking mine apart again, I can't tell you at the moment if one gets used for the bracelet and one for the rubber strap, or if the 2nd set is for another possibility entirely. So only one of the holes is used? I think I've seen this gen strap fitted on a SMP rep (non-chrono) so the normal holes that fit the bracelet should work. the strap does not "flip out" once on the wrist? I know the Rep PO straps flip out on the SMP case. My corum uses two pins per side for this reason.
krustybrand
No, it stays put between the lugs perfectly, as does a gen PO rubber strap on my rep PO. Only one set of holes in the lugs of the SMP are used. I don't know if it's the same set as the bracelet, but I think so. I'm now curious as to what the second set is for.
