Baking hands?

I read a post about putting hands in the oven to change the color. Would this work to get a better color match on luminova hands to a tritium dial? Both are white, but the hands are more of a stark, brighter white.

The easiest way I have found to to this, is to mix up a special lume mix in the colour you need to match the dial.
