TeeJay Posted March 13, 2009 Report Posted March 13, 2009 In terms of things like bezel insert, dial size, case sizes, etc, do these two watches have parts which are the same size, or are they quite different? Thanks in advance
Slartibartfast Posted March 13, 2009 Report Posted March 13, 2009 I always thought that they were the same. Will be interesting to know for sure!
alligoat Posted March 13, 2009 Report Posted March 13, 2009 Same movement- 3135, same crystal, 295-C, same bezel assembly AFAIK, although the bezel inserts are different, of course. Case sizes are basically 40mm, but rehaut is shallower on the Yacht-Master, I believe.
TeeJay Posted March 13, 2009 Author Report Posted March 13, 2009 Thanks for the feedback, guys I wondered if the bezel insert would be a different size, but wondered if it might be one of those things which looks a different size, but actually is the same in practice I guess what I had in mind, was a 'toned down' Yacht-Master, ie YM Insert and dial, but in the more subdued Sub case
alligoat Posted March 13, 2009 Report Posted March 13, 2009 I actually fitted a YM ss insert in a sub case with a white Submariner dial It was definitely a one off type of thing.

alligoat Posted March 14, 2009 Report Posted March 14, 2009 The YM insert fit in the Sub bezel- just glued it in.
