ryaku
Hi all, i've just got a beautiful second-hand Iwc but unfortunately it has several problems: - firstly i can hardly manual wind it cause it's very difficult to find winding point and when you find it crown slips when you turn it. Also, stem is very stiff to turn when you succeed in it. - i can't screw crown in and i've never been able to do that after screwing crown out. I can set date and time wih no problem and watch seems working well (i still haven't used chrono, these issues are enough for now). Moreover dial has a tear: Honestly i'm pretty disappointed but that's not the reason i started this topic.. Have you got some idea or tip for fix it? Do you think it's an easy fix? Thank you Edited August 1, 2006 by ryaku
ryaku
That's the limit... I can't believe...it looks like a bad joke.. Today i tried chrono and guess what.... it doesn't work properly either, it doesn't reset properly... If seller doesn't reply me in 2 days i'm gonna send a paypal complaint and of course i will start a new topic here and on RWG.

artoero
why do'nt you FIRST sent a mail to the buyer to solve it and AFTER you cannot fix it with him a post on RWG?? I don't like it when people first complaining on the forum.... That's the limit... I can't believe...it looks like a bad joke.. I've sent an email to seller 24 hours ago, he connected to forums but didn't reply; however i still haven't started any accusatory topic. Can you see some name here? I posted here to have tips about watch malfunction. [censored] it off if you're not interested.

offshore
If seller doesn't reply me in 2 days i'm gonna send a paypal complaint and of course i will start a new topic here and on RWG. ryaku, May I repectfully suggest that you continue to try to contact the seller, and by all means, post your problem on all the forums. Eventually you may be forced to name the seller to try to obtain some satisfaction. HOWEVER, sending a Paypal complaint will not endear you to either the seller, or your fellow members here. There are better ways to reach a resolution. I realise you are angry and dissappointed, but think of the ramifications of your actions before taking this step. offshore

Of course a paypal complain would be last chance. Anyway here we're not talking about dealers with watch business, in that case a paypal complain is unfair indeed. thomasng
Sorry if I will sound rude, but I need to vent for a quick second. I am the aforementioned seller. What the hell is this, do you think I have no life but sit on here and post all day? [censored]! I'm on vacation at the moment, and you must mind the time differences, there is a 6 hour difference between you and me and I just got your PM an hour ago and was ready to respond to it, then I find stuff about making a Paypal complaint! The site was down from this morning, when I went out for breakfast and went to visit my 94 year old grandmother at a long term care center on the other side of Hong Kong. Good grief, it's just 24 hours, I have waited 72 hours for serious problems in transactions with other members, and even then I didn't lose my cool yet, and even then I never threatened to make a paypal complaint. I come back home 30 minutes before the post you are reading now and I find this. I am understandably filled with rage, because if you file a Paypal complaint, it will do no good to either me or you. Remember we are dealing with illegal goods here, and I am no dealer. If I get into any [censored] with Paypal because of a complaint, I'm going to hold you 100% responsible for refusing mediation. I would have gladly offered you a refund of the watch value if you had asked nicely, and I still will do so, as I stand by whatever I sell, and I will try my best to keep communication up. This is in NO way making my life any better, having to deal with a lot of rubbish, including coping with the loss of my Breguet, filing complaints with the post office over a customs seizure, and a broken Daytona that was very expensive. This doesn't mean I won't solve your problem, but I have SO MUCH MORE things to take care of, including a problem within the family. This is going to be the second final nail in the coffin, I will quit RWG and replica watches forever after the next one. By the way, you've got a PM. Pugwash
I can vouch for Admin's basic integrity. I bought a cheapo Rolex box off him (very nice, still trying to work out a photoshoot that uses it) and he had a problem sending it. He got the box to me in spite of the fact it probably cost him as much as the cash I paid him if not more. He went out of pocket to make good on a deal ... on a box! He kept me updated every step of the way and bent over backwards to keep me informed. If that doesn't convince me of his integrity, nothing will. If he'll do that over a cheap cute green box, you can imagine he's just as serious about the proper stuff. ps. Admin, you're really not having the best of luck at the moment. I've sent some good luck your way (via Leprechaun Airlines, they're reliable, if small) as I seem to have a lot spare.
ryaku
As wrote above i overacted (i never made a paypal complaint and honestly i wouldn't know where to start, i was angry and i wrote bullocks ...btw sorry artoero for my rudeness). I'm surprised cause the seller is without any doubt trustyworth and i can't believe how it could have happened. However i started topic to fix and solve problems by myself. No accusatory goal at all. Later on i made a bad use of thread and it degenerated, I'm guilty for that and i'm sorry.

I'm sure situations were different and paypal complaint was a childish statement. I would NEVER do that before hearing seller and i've never done before. This is going to be the second final nail in the coffin, I will quit RWG and replica watches forever after the next one. I hope you will change your mind. I don't deserve so much importance. Now i hope you will give some clearing up, if you still feel like, about watch issues. Here or by private message.
artoero
dear ryaku, No problem, i showed to less symphatie for your angry and disapoinment, and told you what I dont liked, but that wasn't the question, so I blamed it on myself... . I think almost everybody on this forum is well connected to each other, we all stand at the same side.... Everybody is willing to help everybody, i am sure of that. Have a lovely day arthur As wrote above i overacted (i never made a paypal complaint and honestly i wouldn't know where to start, i was angry and i wrote bullocks ...btw sorry artoero for my rudeness). thomasng
Inflammatory comment in the most recent PM was the final nail in the coffin. I will write my departure message tonight and post it tomorrow morning, I'm done for sure. Outstanding transactions, I will take care of you until everything is done and accepted. Finepics and The Zigmeister will still get business from me, and I will maintain contact with members I know well here. Again ryaku, if you are not happy. I will give you 100% refund, and I will stand by this offer. Or should I just pay $300 for a brand new one and send it to you for free? Please understand this is not a direct result of this transaction but with everything else, it tipped me over the edge.

Succes arthur I wish not to be ostinate but you (plural, not you artoero) force me: Andrew situation was very different. I say sorry several times for my unjustified reaction now it's his turn. Inflammatory comment in the most recent PM was the final nail in the coffin. I don't feel like to play the part of the bad here but i'm still waiting for reasonable explanations for watch defects. I told you having more self-criticism from you would be enough. Now i don't wanna any refund, my overeaction balances yout fault, i just want you to say you're sorry and you obviously didn't check and test watch enough. Take your own responsibility. Or if you think you don't have any responsibility, convince me of that. Period. Here or in pm, your choice. Again ryaku, if you are not happy. I'm happy you still have sense of humour. Sorry folks for my english, i'm nor very comfortable in foreign language in discussion like that (actually i'would be uncomfortable as well in my native language but you got my point). ryaku
Again, I will offer you the refund and I will admit that I fudged it up and I want to make it right. I am sorry. That's probabily a smart try to say "hey you, i'm tired of that [censored], i'll say whatever you want" But for reasonable explanations i meant something different and of course i'm not satisfied. I agree with you however, i'm tired. Let's drop it now and i don't give a damn about your refund but please give up the idea of leaving this board, not for me of course, i don't care if you leave, but for all the dudes sided with you in this thread in veiled way. my opinion was again in total peace, not to hurt somebodies feeling, so I dont speak anymore in this topic. Pugwash
but for all the dudes sided with you in this thread in veiled way. It's not a question of sides. In some deals, things just don't go well, and it's nobody's fault. It's the judging of people and looking for sides that makes this fall down. I've chatted with both parties in this conflict by PM (all before this incident, nothing to do with this deal) and both people struck me as decent reasonable people. I can't take sides, but I can try to calm tempers, as no matter what happens, one or more of my virtual-friends gets upset.

No problem Pug, you're message was pretty impartial and there was no need to clear your thought up. Moreover you're my first watch adviser and i can't quarrell with you. In some deals, things just don't go well, and it's nobody's fault. Sorry but it seems to me very simplistic and a bit rhetorical as well. No offense, i just don't agree.
