jimbo Posted September 5, 2009 Report Posted September 5, 2009 Can anyone point me in the direction of a good tutorial for swapping Pam crowns? Thanks!!
StormTooper4 Posted September 6, 2009 Report Posted September 6, 2009 First up have you got the right size. 0.9 for Asian or 1.2 for Swiss Chrinographs. Get yourself a spare stem first as the depth of T's are often more than standard rep crowns Take of CG Get the back off Press the crown relase button (small dot at 3 o'clock) Remove Crown and stem Unscrew stem from crown Put new crown on stem Replace and test if it does not move hands and date then its too short Use new stem cut very careful may take 2-3 cuts to get right size. Sure there are better tutorials but search is rubbish so I coulcnt find it. Good luck its quite good fun when you get going. Be prepared for some CG work as well You may want to test that was well. tanya Posted September 6, 2009 Report Posted September 6, 2009 Yes upgrade. Those teeth look angry like a white shark!! Looks similar to the one that came on my Daylight 188 which is being swaped out for a Tourby this coming week
hooky Posted September 6, 2009 Report Posted September 6, 2009 upgrade man! why else do you think Tourby went through all the trouble making these crowns? They are great, standard rep crown is really showing 'fake'.
rolli Posted September 6, 2009 Report Posted September 6, 2009 100 percent absolutely.............. rolli
