Prsist
I'm having a tough time deciding between the: Roles Turnograph (white dial) & Ebel 1911 Discovery (white dial) Im into white dials at the moment. I time a lot of events so the screwdown pushers on the Ebel turn me off a bit but I love the Day, Date feature. I'll probably buy both but can only buy one at moment (sound familiar?). I'm hoping a little input might sway my choice.

Shundi
Ebel and leave the chronos unscrewed when you plan to time things.
Toadtorrent
Go for the Ebel. It's a much better rep. The Turn-o-graphs and other vintages are generally not super high end reps out of the box. People usually use them as bases for making big projects. The vintage GMTs however have had good reviews. EDIT: Whoops...realized you weren't specifying the modern TOG...my mistake...either way...I would go the 1911.
