Star69
looking good so far - i would not care so much about the insert - but i would bleach it a little bit a new plexi - maybe a little case ageing - and your done. the whole story sound like a typical fairytale in the rep-land. the rep (unmodified) was discussed in various gen forums - believe me there are not so many vintage Tudor - experts out there even in the original stage it would pass 99 % of the so called WIS too bad about the movement. cheers, Frank
Stephane
Hi Frank, Good to see you here So basically I'm allowed to make it look like I want as nobody will ever notice the differences? I love that. I think I'm going to make it look super vintage

tmg
Your project is coming along nicely Stephane, I think a Clarks T19 should fit too. A CWP insert with a Yukiwatch or Watchesandparts (ebay) aged pearl will be nice. I will say I scored a pretty good deal on ebay for a gen 5513 insert without a pearl a few months back -just too patience. The watchesandparts pearl fits nicely in it. Stephane
Thanks TMG! I think this thread will help many members to build there own So far, it looks good: I will shortly receive 3 T19 from which a gen and a Clark I guess one of the three will fit the case. The hunt for an insert is open

Tribal
So i think the Insert is smaller than on a Rolex Sub ?!?!? On my Gen Tudor 79190 Sub it is....... I think we can manage to Vintage the pearl......... I tried it on my SD..... All in all its really a nice watch I like it a lot....
Stephane
@Pete: send it over asap @Tribal: we're going to have fun Tropics are on their way...and my guess is you must have an idea to make the insert and pearl look "correct" I will take it off now and stick it in my pocket with coins ...as the Crystal is going to be replaced anyway
polexpete
So i think the Insert is smaller than on a Rolex Sub ?!?!? On my Gen Tudor 79190 Sub it is....... Tribal, the insert on the 7016/0 is the same as 1680/5513/1665 Rollies. Maybe smaller on your 79190. Cheers P.
