ETA 2824

Recommended Posts

Hi guys...

Need your help please.

I have been in the process of building a franken SMP 2254 and was installing gen hand set to the new ETA 2824 movement (which was running without issue)

I installed the hands without a hitch and now the hands move as they should in the time setting position and the date changes in the date seting position now the fun starts...

when the stem is then pushed to normal running position the watch runs but the hour and minute hands do not move just the second hand...has been sitting at 8o'clock now for the last hour! :(

HELP!

I had the same problem recently on a ETA 2836-2. Turned out a part of the keyless works had jumped out of position. My problem was acompanied by an inability to manually wind the watch as well though. Anyway, I removed the datewheel and following Baz's tutorial, corrected the problem. Runs fine now.
