hackR
After much consternation on whether to buy the grey or black dial Skyland, I asked Lanikai if he could shoot some pix to help me decide...As usual, he was gracious and posted some comparison shots of both watches -- which really is a must for anyone considering this watch... (*By-Tor --> please consider adding Lani's comparison post to the Breitling Community guide)... Here are the two links of Lani posts on the grey Skyland (thanks, Lani!): 1. Lanikai's post on the grey Skyland - macro shots, etc. 2. Lanikai's post on the comparison of the black and grey dial Skylands I decided to go leather (Gunny Mona) on this watch and love the look...feel free to post 'em if ya got 'em... lanikai
Grey Gator HKtan nice colour contrast rhack1 .. !! I have another darker grey gator supposedly on it's way.. I'll get it up as soon as I have it in .. Although I am enjoying the light grey.. since the dial darkens depending on the lighting . I think an eta 7750 is a must for this one at some point and time.. the grey dial morphs to a darker shade with the lighting.. as you must know by now .. Aaron is having isues with shipping.. not manufacturing.. hopefully it'll be fixed soon.. actually I don't know if the darker grey will look "better" than the light grey.. as I have grown to like the contrast as far as grey goes... anytime ma man !!... that's what we're all here for.. supporting each other... hackR
@ BT --> thanks!...Lani's "comparision" post is a must for any potential Skyland purchase... @Lani --> yes, the grey dial is quite the chameleon...definitely changes with lighting AND strap choices...i was very surprised how the dial got kind of lost on the black rubber...once i put the brown Gunny on it - with it's black edge - it really made the dial stand-out (the reason i posted pix!)...i'm still learning about all this and you definitely encourage us all to experiment with straps and materials...really makes a huge difference...for that, i thank ya, man!...as do all of us!! (i like these focused threads a lot...creates a nice "one-stop" for those interested in buying and/or just adjusting their watches look) R-

A~C lani If I were you, I'd add the ETA as soon Gen dials become available, or if your A7750 dies. For me adding the ETA completely changed the feel of the watch, I mean time and date setting, operating of the chrono felt just simply gen... Adds a lot to the overall feeling IMO. Mickey Padge
Sorry to say, all rep croc straps I have seen are horrible! They fake Breitling ones smell of chemicals and rubber too, really poor! Best bet is to pick up a genuine croc leather strap from ebay.de, not gen Breitling necessarily, but genuine croc, the brown croc strap pictured was an aftermarket strap Cheers!
